never thought I would do it, but recently moved to just outside Atlanta
(Marietta), GA. It is awesome to have a home nestled in the woods only 15
min from a huge metropolitan city with anything you could possibly want. I
moved from Prescott AZ, prior Long Beach, CA, this is my favorite yet!!!
IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR STATE OF MIND AND SURROUNDINGS TO SUIT INDIVUDUAL
TASTE.ONE PERSON WHO HASN'T SEEN MUCH WOUD BE HAPPY ON A FARM WHEN
ANOTHER NEEDS URBAN ENTERTAINMENT, WICH MAY NOT SUIT THE SURFER, WHO
THRIVES ON THAT NEXT WAVE. MY QUESTION IS, ' WHERE IS THE OASIS'?
WHERE CAN I BE CLOSE TO THE COUNTRY AND/OR NATURE, AN UN-GHETTO CITY AND A
CLEAN, TEAL, OCEAN; ALL IN ONE? THATS WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER AN OASIS. MY
SONS FATHER JUST MOVED TO CORVALLIS OREGON AND IT IS ONLY 100 MILES FROM
PORTLAND, RATED THE MOST DEPRESSING CITY IN THE UNITED STATES.
RAIN,RAIN,RAIN.
I live in Washington State near Seattle. We are looking for a safe,
affordable neighborhood to live in between here and Everette. Thinking
about Lynwood, Kirkland, Lake Stevens or Issaquah. We like having access to
stores etc. but would like to find a semi-rural area to rent or buy a home.
Can't spend a ton in this economy. Main thing is I don't want to
live where people have 5 cars parked on their lawns and houses and yards
are unkempt. Any suggestions???
I would like to know where Yahoo got this information. I left Atlanta after
living there for 28 years, because it is an absolute hellhole. Atlanta is
crime ridden, traffic is awful, people are snobby, and the quality of
education (or lack, thereof) is absolutely horrible! The residents are
restricted as to how much water they can use, but the greedy developers,
who don't pay a dime {because the taxpayers pay for the water use} are
allowed to continue building mini mansions that nobody can afford! And
Marta sucks!
