TV or granite counter tops to increase home value?

I am planning to make a purchase of a nice 52' flat panel tv for around $2500 to be installed on the wall of my home to complete my media room. I am also considering new granite counter tops for my kitchen and bathroom for the same price. Will either increase the value and salability of my home later on? Which one would be a better choice if I had to chose one for salability?

The granite counter tops will definitely increase the value of your home way more than a tv would. Especially during these booming technology times, where your nice flat panel tv might be old news withing a few years. ... See all 4 answers
